carefully selected oak is turned into "white charcoal" by a pains taking
process of drying, heating and cooling. The raw wood is air-dried then heated
to 1200 degrees C. for seven days while adding salt. This completely burns off
all the sulfur content leaving it beneficial to the body. The process renders
the product different from regular charcoal in several ways. It leaves no ash
on the hand when touched; it has vivid grain and pores like natural wood and is
difficult to break due to its high density.
After the processing of the "white charcoal", it is turned over to the artist
for the creation of the arrangement. The end products are planters or plaques
in which the charcoal is combined with wood, stones, plants or water wheels to
add harmony and beauty to any room in the home or office.
